Chaos of Trapped Bose-Einstein Condensates in One Dimensional Periodic Ratchet Potential

Abstract
In our report, the dynamical behaviors of Bose-Einstein condensates trapped in one dimensional dissymmetrical periodic ratchet potential were studied. The method of direct perturbation and the method of integral equation were used to analyze the characters of Melnikov chaos in the system. The results suggested that the system has the spatial chaotic behavior.
