Abstract: Because the content of dissolved free amino acid is one of the main factors which cause red current, investigating it in the sea waters is a premise to predicting the upcoming of red current. During the cruises in Jiulongjiang estuary and Xiamen western waters, water samples have been collected. The content of dissolved free amino acid (DFAA), chl-a, salinity are analysed and the relationships between them are obtained.
