Abstract: In the report, the characteristics of the Java language were introduced, the problems in Java teaching were pointed out, and it was emphasized that the teaching purpose is to improve student’s practical application capabilities. The improvement measures for teaching methods, teaching content, evaluation methods were proposed, and the ideal results were obtained in the actual teaching.
